Job summary

G&W Electric Co in Bolingbrook, IL seeks a Machine Operator I (6:00pm to 6:00am, D shift) to set-up and operate multiple pieces of manufacturing machinery of moderate complexity, ensuring quality and safety.

You will read instructions, use hand tools, dispose of hazardous chemicals properly, and document production and quality forms. The role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency and a clean, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 6+ months of manufacturing experience
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and communicate with supervisor
• Ability to operate a variety of machinery

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary
• Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed
• Contribute to team effort by training others in machine operator tasks as needed
• Inspect all work for defects prior to passing it on to the next operation
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
