Job summary

G&W Electric Co is hiring a Machine Operator I for the B shift (6:00am–6:00pm). You will set up and operate one-two pieces of manufacturing machinery of moderate complexity.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and vacation, with pay range typically between $22.50 to $23.75 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Ideally 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and interpret work instructions and effectively communicate with supervisor regarding manufacturing processes.
• Must have ability to operate a variety of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery using hand tools as necessary
• Dispose of hazardous chemicals properly
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of machine operator tasks as needed
• Inspect all work for defects prior to passing it on to the next operation
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
