Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC is seeking a Controls Technician to provide electrical and controls support for plant operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex electrical systems, and maintain documentation using CMMS.

The role requires working with voltages up to 600V, three-phase and single-phase AC circuits, and collaborating with engineers, mechanics, and operators to ensure safe, reliable equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical mfg. trade, or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance focused on controls/electronics preferred.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Able to read one-line diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure.
• Must be able to use PLC software and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems.
• Read blueprints/one-line diagrams to install outlets, circuits and load centers.
• Test connections after installation to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical/controls issues in industrial equipment.
• Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Maintain MCCs, switchgear, robots, transformers and generators.
• Update CMMS with accurate records and reports.
