Job summary

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages in Abilene, TX seeks a Plant Controls Specialist to maintain and troubleshoot production equipment and to identify controls opportunities for improving operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 8+ years of industrial experience without degree.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in industrial environments without college degree.
• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Networks (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Remote IO, Data Highway Plus, Ethernet).
• Foundation Skills: Speaking/Presenting to explain complex technical problems clearly and keep management informed.
• Collaborating: work well with others to achieve results in time.
• Analytical thinking: methodical problem solving with essential facts.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide training in Controls and Electricity to Maintenance Technicians to minimize downtime.
• Execute projects involving PLC 5, SLC 500, Controls Logix, Panel View Plus, and Allen Bradley VFDs.
• Maintain industrial networks such as DeviceNet and Remote I/O.
• Assist NABU Controls Engineering Group with installation and maintenance of SKU Controllers.
• Identify and prioritize controls/electrical opportunities to maximize operations performance.
• Plan and execute projects minimizing downtime and maintain documentation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment from various suppliers.
• Develop control software balancing mechanical and control changes for containers.
• Maintain Allen Bradley hardware and software: PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, networks and electrical systems.
• Supervise electrical installation/integration of equipment and controls.
• Follow CCE Controls and Electrical Specifications and propose improvements.
