Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to lead HR services for the evening shift manufacturing operations. You will partner with plant leadership to drive employee relations, performance management, attendance, policy interpretation, compliance, and a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key duties include coordinating recruitment, workforce planning, coaching managers on policy and performance, managing leave, and delivering engagement

Qualifications

• 5–7 years HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience in both Union and Non-Union environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required; MBA or HR certification preferred (PHR/SPHR).

Responsibilities

• Provide HR leadership for evening-shift manufacturing operations.
• Lead employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee attendance administration, leave management, and performance management.
• Coach managers on policy administration, leadership practices, and development.
• Partner with operations to address workforce challenges and improve effectiveness.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and workforce planning.
• Lead engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
