PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, MS seeks a Site Operations Manager for the evening shift to lead manufacturing, maintenance, and materials while driving safety, quality, and cost targets. You will develop frontline managers and coach teams through process improvements.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of supervisory experience, with a track record in lean methods, strong communication, and the ability to drive strategic planning and budget management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Materials Management or related field.
• 10+ years of supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of assembly and machining operations, continuous improvement tools and methodologies, and teambuilding skills.
• Ability to coach and develop all levels of employees.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with PACCAR is desirable.
• Experience in applying lean leadership principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Materials activities to meet customer demand safely.
• Develop & manage front-line managers across departments.
• Coach and mentor team members for personal and professional development.
• Support training, motivation, and safety of High-Performance Work Teams.
• Oversee assignment of work to team members per production objectives.
• Set and meet production goals including safety, quality, delivery, scrap, labor efficiency, and housekeeping.
• Collaborate with HR on hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare meaningful reports/analyses for management.
• Lead PACCAR Production System improvements (lean leadership, 5S, root-cause, Kaizen).
• Assist in department budgets, major projects, cost reduction, and new product setup.
