Job summary

Emerald Healthcare in Claremore, OK is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the night shift to join our nursing facility team. You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and document care.

This full-time, hourly role reports to the Director of Nursing (DON). Responsibilities include mobility assistance, vital signs, infection control, and teamwork with nurses and physicians to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
• Certifications: Current CNA certification in Oklahoma required.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Mobility Assistance: Help residents with mobility issues, including transferring, positioning, and ambulating safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, changes in residents’ conditions, and any other pertinent information in electronic health records.
• Communication: Report any changes in residents’ conditions or concerns to the nursing staff or supervisor in a timely manner.
• Supportive Tasks: Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and providing companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
• Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care.
