Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Hourly Assistant Manager who thrives in a food-focused, customer-centric environment. This on-site role requires afternoon and evening availability and offers leadership opportunities, from scheduling and inventory to mentorship, with a strong emphasis on service quality and teamwork.

The position supports a diverse menu featuring from-scratch breads, pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches, with competitive hourly wages and a comprehensive PTO program

Qualifications

• 1+ year of fast paced restaurant/retail leadership experience
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, & federal regulations for food handler & sanitation standards
• Experience with meeting operational goals, & thinking beyond what has already been done to create a better experience for teams & customers
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, ingredients, and supplies
• You must be at least 18 years of age to be qualified for this position

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic team delivering Kneaders’ from-scratch bread, pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches with honest ingredients
• Manage scheduling, inventory and customer service to ensure a consistent guest experience
• Support store leadership with daily operations and drive improvements based on feedback
• Foster team development and career growth within Kneaders’ bakery and cafe environment
