Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco is seeking a Program Aid for the Swing Shift to help operate the Multi-Service Center and Drop-In Center. You will monitor residents, provide resources, and help ensure safety for clients and staff in a fast-paced shelter environment.

This role requires strong English communication, ability to maintain records, and willingness to learn CHANGES software. CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Experience working with homeless populations preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and work under pressure.
• Willingness to learn new software and procedures.
• Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource and referral information for clients.
• Ensure respectful treatment of all clients at all times.
• Monitor shelter activities to ensure resident and staff safety.
• Record client data using CHANGES software.
• Conduct area checks and maintain cleanliness.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
