Qualifications

• Supervising homeless adults in a residential setting.
• Time management and organizational skills essential.
• Knowledge of residential services for the homeless Population.
• Aware of mental health, substance abuse, and dual diagnosis issues; computer literate.
• Culturally competent; ability to work within a team.
• Understanding of crisis intervention, confidentiality, boundaries, and universal precautions.
• Able to foster a Harm Reduction philosophy in the work environment.
• Strong empathic skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly rounds on assigned floor.
• Supervise shelter clients to ensure compliance with house rules.
• Assist in ensuring security of the Shelter.
• Maintain hourly logs.
• Help move client belongings as necessary.
• Collaborate with other agencies and social service providers.
• Oversee intake, departures and daily roster and programs.
• Supervise resident chores.
• Attend agency and program meetings as scheduled.
• Complete all required reports/incident logs.
• Provide shift coverage to other RS staff during breaks.
• Remain on-site during emergencies as designated by leadership.
