Job summary

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is seeking a security associate to enforce safety rules and assist guests at the Powell site. The role runs 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, with duties including monitoring CCTV, responding to incidents, and supporting emergency procedures.

The candidate will patrol grounds, assist with parking, check doors and lights, and help maintain logbooks and incident reports. A high school diploma and security experience are preferred, with CPR/ERT/AED certifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of security, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public safety and assist guests with information.
• Monitor CCTV and report any security concerns.
• Respond to incidents using CPR, ERT and AED procedures as trained.
• Escort and assist guests and team members in emergencies.
• Complete daily duty logs and maintain equipment accountability.
