Job summary

Boys Town in Omaha, NE seeks a Security Officer to help safeguard employees and visitors across our campuses. The role involves patrols, responding to alarms, assisting staff during emergencies, and enforcing campus policies while maintaining professional conduct.

This shift runs 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Saturday through Wednesday, with Thursdays and Fridays off. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, the ability to work rotating shifts, and CPR/BLS certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and pass MVR check.
• Ability to work rotating shifts; including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to complete and maintain BLS (CPR) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work at multiple Boys Town locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and effective services.
• Monitors and ensures safety of facilities and people on Boys Town properties.
• Patrols interior and exterior areas; secures doors and windows; responds to alarms.
• Investigates incidents and completes required reports; coordinates with police as needed.
• Assists staff and guests; escorts personnel to vehicles or areas.
• Responds to emergencies, including Code 10s; participates in drills and safety training.
• Performs receptionist duties; checks in visitors; maintains lobby appearance.
