Job summary

Father Flanagan's Boys' Home in Nebraska is seeking a Security Officer to ensure a safe, secure campus and uphold safety policies for youth and staff.

You will patrol Boys Town properties on foot, by bicycle, or in a vehicle, respond to incidents, escort personnel, and coordinate with local police to maintain a protective environment.

Shift is 3:30 PM–11:30 PM; requires a high school diploma, 21+ years of age, and training in NASRO, CPR, and crisis management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• At least 6 months of related experience.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Work rotating shifts; including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to work at multiple Boys Town property locations.
• NASRO Training within 90 days of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• NCI or SCM certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective security services and enforce policies.
• Patrol campus and schools on foot, by bicycle, or in a vehicle.
• Respond to incidents and report injuries, property damage, or violations.
• Escort staff and youth as required and assist with mass movements.
• Operate and respond to alarms, and coordinate with Police.
• Assist in severe weather sheltering and evacuation.
• Complete security reports accurately and promptly.
• Enforce Tobacco Free Campus policy.
