Job summary

First Baptist Church of Glenarden is hiring a Safety & Security Associate to maintain safety and security across locations. The SSA greets guests, controls access, monitors cameras, and responds to incidents while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires evening hours (1:30pm–10:00pm full-time or 5:00pm–10:00pm part-time) and a proven background in physical security, with a strong emphasis on safety and confidentiality. Benefits accompany a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of physical security experience.
• Training or certification in security is a plus.
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage entry control and ensure policy is followed for entrants.
• Greet staff and guests; escort visitors as needed.
• Monitor security cameras and report incidents promptly.
• Maintain front desk, logs, and supplies.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with emergency services.
• Maintain confidentiality of communications and records.
• Coordinate package deliveries with Events Department.
• Provide first responder support during emergencies.
