Job summary

Glenaire is seeking a full-time Security Officer for the 3pm–11pm shift, with weekend flexibility. The role protects residents, staff, and visitors, requiring alertness and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include security patrols on foot or in vehicle, monitoring for safety hazards, controlling entry, documenting incidents, assisting residents and guests, and emergency response. Prior security or guard experience and first aid training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NC driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Desire to serve senior adults.
• Positive outlook and initiative.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and able to handle a fast pace.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Maintaining site security and watching for irregular or unusual conditions.
• Permitting authorized persons to enter property.
• Preparing reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
• Providing assistance to residents, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Responding to emergencies.
• Ensuring the safety of all residents.
