Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools seeks a custodian for the Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion Elementary School. The position is second shift, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 8.5 hours per shift (8 hours paid, 30 minutes unpaid) and 52 weeks per year.

Category VII wage of $19.30–$21.82 per hour under the custodial contract, plus benefits. Responsibilities include cleaning, room setup for events, equipment care, and adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading skills sufficient to read material data sheets.
• Regular attendance and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the head day/night custodian, facilities Program Director and Director of Buildings and Grounds.
• Maintains cleanliness of assigned area using proper equipment and supplies.
• Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and special events.
• Cares for equipment, tools and work area.
• Meets timelines and ensures quality of tasks.
• Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
• Practices fiscal responsibility related to methods, supplies, equipment, recycling, utilities and the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
