Job summary

Forest Elementary in Robbinsdale Area Schools seeks a Custodian for the second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 8.5 hours per shift and 52 weeks per year.

Pay ranges from $19.30 to $21.82 per hour based on the 2025-26 custodial contract plus benefits; duties include cleaning, room setup for events, and proper care of equipment, with safety and timeliness emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient reading skills to read material data sheets.
• Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.
• Work alone in situations using ladders of various lengths, equipment and chemicals, which can be hazardous when not properly handled, and on rooftops.
• Assist in loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the head day/night custodian, facilities Program Director and Director of Buildings and Grounds.
• Maintains cleanliness of assigned area utilizing the proper equipment and supplies for each task.
• Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and special events.
• Provides proper care and cleaning of equipment, tools and the work place.
• Complies with established timelines and quality completion of tasks.
• Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
• Practices fiscal responsibility related to methods, supplies, equipment, recycling, utilities and the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
