Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools seeks a dedicated part-time Second Shift Custodian at New Hope Learning Center. The shift runs 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday, with summer hours 5:30 am to 12:00 pm. The position offers 52 weeks per year and a benefit package per the 2025-26 custodial contract. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, setting up rooms, caring for equipment, meeting deadlines, and using resources efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Sufficient reading skills for material data sheets.
• Must be able to attend work regularly and arrive on time.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.
• Work alone with ladders, equipment and chemicals; hazards when not properly handled.
• Assist in loading/unloading delivery vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned area with proper equipment and supplies.
• Set up rooms for conferences, classes and events.
• Care for equipment, tools and workplace properly.
• Meet established timelines and ensure quality work.
• Use work time efficiently and effectively.
• Practice fiscal responsibility with supplies, utilities and recycling.
• Other duties as assigned.
