Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools seeks a part-time Second Shift Custodian for School of Engineering and Arts. Hours are 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended summer hours from 6:00 a.m.

to 12:30 p.m. This 6.5-hour shift includes 6 hours of paid work and 30 minutes of unpaid meal time, 52 weeks per year. Responsibilities include cleaning, room setup for events, equipment care, and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient reading skills to read material data sheets.
• Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.
• Able to work with ladders, chemicals, and at heights safely.
• Assist in loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of assigned area using proper equipment and supplies.
• Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and events.
• Cleans equipment, tools, and the work area.
• Complies with established timelines and quality of tasks.
• Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
• Practices fiscal responsibility related to methods, supplies, and utilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
