Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a Second Shift Building Custodian for the New Hope Learning Center. The role runs from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 52 weeks per year and 8.5 hours per shift (8 hours paid, 30 minutes unpaid).

The position falls under Category VII, with a pay range of $19.30 to $21.82 per hour plus benefits. Candidate will maintain cleanliness, set up rooms, and handle equipment safely while following district procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read material data sheets.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.
• Work on ladders and near hazardous chemicals.
• Assist in loading and unloading of deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the head day/night custodian, facilities Program Director and Director of Buildings and Grounds.
• Maintains cleanliness of assigned area using proper equipment and supplies.
• Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and special events.
• Keeps equipment, tools and workplace in good condition.
• Meets timelines and completes tasks with quality.
• Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
• Performs duties with fiscal responsibility regarding methods, supplies, and utilities.
