Job summary

Forest Elementary in District 281 seeks a Second Shift Building Custodian to maintain cleanliness after hours. The role runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m.

to 10:30 p.m., totaling 8.5 hours per shift with 30 minutes unpaid lunch, and 52 weeks per year, with hourly pay between $19.30 and $21.82 plus benefits. You report to the head day/night custodian, Facilities Program Director and Director of Buildings and Grounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient reading skills to read material data sheets.
• Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of assigned area utilizing the proper equipment and supplies for each task.
• Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and special events.
• Provides proper care and cleaning of equipment, tools and the work place.
• Complies with established timelines and quality completion of tasks.
• Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
• Practices fiscal responsibility related to methods, supplies, equipment, recycling, utilities and the environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
