Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Monroe County Jail on the day shift. You will deliver high‑quality care in a corrections setting, administer medications, document findings, and collaborate with physicians and other health staff.

The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree, and the ability to work within state nurse practice acts. You will lead patient care, support safety, and participate in training while enjoying our benefits package

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or have graduated from an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current license in this state.
• The RN works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, delegates and ensures supervision of nursing activities and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• The RN maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
• The RN administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions and side effects.
• The RN records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• The RN monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
• The RN consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• The RN modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.
