Job summary

Paramount Care Centers is seeking an RN Supervisor to coordinate total resident care and supervise nursing units. The role requires extensive supervisory experience and a strong nursing background, with responsibilities spanning staffing, care plans, medications, emergencies, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current State license.
• Experience in nursing with supervisory duties.
• Supervisory experience in long-term care required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies daily staffing and redistribution, as necessary.
• Collaborates with all charge nurses daily to exchange information on resident care, condition, and matters affecting well-being; makes recommendations and communicates concerns.
• Makes rounds, morning and night, to assess resident condition, with focus on critically ill residents.
• Ensures that the individual nursing care plan is followed for each resident.
• Performs medication passes and/or direct resident care as needed.
• Participates in resident care committee meetings.
• Reinforces the training and orientation of nursing personnel and provides positive reinforcement.
• Answers emergencies during the shift and ensures safety for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintains a secure building during evening/night hours per protocol.
• Reviews incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitors meals and dining areas to ensure nutrition and satisfaction.
• Assists in Quality Improvement program development and implementation.
• Ensures high-quality service in a caring, compassionate environment.
