Job summary

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is actively seeking an experienced RN Supervisor for the Night Shift to join our nursing leadership team. You will oversee night-time nursing operations, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality resident care throughout the night.

Responsibilities include supervising RNs/LPNs/CNAs, providing clinical guidance, coordinating admissions and transfers, maintaining documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in SNF/rehab/LTC settings preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs during the night shift.
• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care.
• Provide clinical guidance and leadership to the nursing team.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in health status.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
• Review and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensure CMS, NYSDOH, and facility policy compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes.
• Assist with staffing coordination and overnight nursing operations.
• Support QA, infection prevention, and risk management initiatives.
• Maintain survey readiness and assist during state and federal surveys.
• Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate clinical interventions.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.
