Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, MA is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for an evening part-time shift (24 hours/week, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm). This role provides clinical leadership, manages staff, and ensures high-quality patient care in inpatient and residential units.

Responsibilities include regular rounds, emergency management, staff development, admissions coordination, and performance evaluations, with a strong emphasis on maintaining nursing standards and compassionate care across teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2 years RN experience, and 2 years of Supervisor experience in a general inpatient or behavioral health care setting preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license. CPR Certified
• Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior, and crisis management

Responsibilities

• Performs regular nursing rounds on inpatient units and the residential program.
• Assists in management of medical and/or psychiatric emergencies.
• Investigates critical incidents as they occur.
• Serves as patient advocate and assists in patient/family complaint resolutions.
• Serves as a clinical resource for employees.
• Ensures nursing standards of practice is adhered to.
• Models professional practice in the milieu.
• Assists in orientation of new employees.
