Job summary

Walden Behavioral Care in Dedham, MA is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for a part-time evening shift (24 hours/week from 3:00pm-11:30pm). The role provides clinical leadership and oversight in the absence of patient care administration, mentoring nursing staff to maintain high standards of patient care.

Requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program, MA RN license, CPR certification, and 2+ years RN and supervisor experience in inpatient or behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• 2 years RN experience, and 2 years of Supervisor experience in a general inpatient or behavioral health care setting preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license. CPR Certified
• Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior, and crisis management

Responsibilities

• Performs regular nursing rounds on inpatient units and the residential program.
• Assists in management of medical and/or psychiatric emergencies.
• Investigates critical incidents as they occur.
• Serves as a patient advocate and assists in complaint resolution.
• Serves as a clinical resource for employees.
• Ensures nursing standards of practice are adhered to.
• Models professional practice in the milieu.
• Assists in onboarding new employees.
