Job summary

Newport Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide on-site nursing and attendant care for residents. You will ensure health and well-being while aligning with the organization's mission and values, with a shift differential for late-night hours.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting accurately. You will collaborate with NPs and Physicians, develop care plans, and participate in treatment team meetings to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold current, unrestricted RN license in the state of application.
• Pre-employment background check is required for the work location.
• CPR certification must be valid or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and monitoring vital signs with accurate documentation in medical records.
• Evaluating resident medical complaints and coordinating with Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans and delivering direct nursing care as prescribed.
• Monitoring chronic conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures with timely interventions.
• Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to reporting and infection control protocols.
• Collaborating with Care Coordinators on medication management and refills.
• Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to enhance patient care.
