Job summary

Newport Hospital & Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift in the acute care setting. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, triage, and flexible support across ER and OB departments as needed.

Strong assessment, pain management, and communication with PCPs are essential. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain documentation, and participate in safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS Certification.
• NRP certification within one year of hire.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• TNCC within one year of hire.
• ENPC or PALS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes, consulting with specialists as needed.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across patient age groups, with ongoing reassessments.
• Assess and manage pain, educate patients and families on pain management.
• Ensure patient safety and reduce medical errors through vigilant documentation and care plans.
• Float to ER, OB, and other departments after orientation and skills validation.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
