Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for 6 East Med Surg, a part-time, 24-hour position with an evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM). The role is on-site, with potential signing bonus discussed during interview. Holidays and weekends as scheduled.

The RN will provide direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge, perform assessments, plan discharge, and coordinate care with the team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current.
• Unit-specific certifications and competencies may be required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
