Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support the nursing strategic plan and priorities. This role suits authentic leaders who communicate clearly and collaborate across the care team in a busy hospital setting.

You will participate in recruitment and retention efforts, lead or contribute to unit goal development aligned with hospital aims, oversee performance evaluations, manage orientation, and drive evidence‑based practice projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or diploma required.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Participate with recruitment and retention strategies.
• Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions.
• Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
• Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for staff.
• Monitor unit orientation process for all roles as necessary.
• Optimize the patient and family experience of care.
• Lead or conduct root cause analysis investigations.
