Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), a registered nurse who will support nursing leadership and operational priorities. You will coordinate staffing, throughput, quality and safety outcomes, and staff development in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.

The ANM will participate in performance evaluations, staff education, and unit governance, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and values while promoting compassionate, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and retention efforts with Nurse Manager.
• Participate in unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Oversee staffing, throughput and patient flow.
• Support quality, safety and performance improvement initiatives.
• Conduct periodic performance evaluations and staff education.
