Adventist HealthCare in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse II for the Transcare unit to support patient care and professional growth.

This full-time evening shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm, five days/week) focuses on education, care planning, mentorship of Level I nurses, and adherence to ANA standards of practice, with opportunities to apply evidence-based changes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Maryland RN license; BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed for specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly; delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care for patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Perform literature searches and apply findings to practice.

What You'll Do

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
