Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a registered nurse to provide care using the nursing process, coordinate patient care, and educate patients to promote health and prevent illness. Eligible candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license in Alabama, and be BLS certified.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• License as RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals to promote health and prevent illness.
• Gather data, assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate and manage all aspects of nursing care for patient and family in collaboration with the health care team.
• Deliver patient care with licensed physicians, psychologists, podiatrists, podiatrists, and/or dentists.
