Job summary

Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an RN for the Bemidji Veterans Home. This part-time evening-shift role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to residents, performing assessments, planning care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The RN will work evenings (2:00pm - 10:30pm) with duties including assessments, care planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing (or able to obtain licensure by date of hire).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross (or ability to obtain by date of hire).
• Effective communication sufficient to provide and follow instructions and teach skills to residents.
• Computer skills sufficient to complete electronic charting, specifically in PointClickCare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care within the RN scope of practice per the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act and VA regulations.
• Provide assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation to deliver resident-centered care addressing physical and psychosocial needs.
