Job summary

The Kimpton Overland Hotel Atlanta is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences through courteous, efficient service. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure accurate serving of food and beverages.

You will upsell menu items, maintain table settings, handle payments, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service. Knowledge of the menu and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High school education or related experience.
• Alcohol awareness certification preferred.
• Ability to provide friendly guest service and understand ordering and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them, and present menus.
• Take orders accurately and input into the ordering system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure correct presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, ingredients, and specials; suggest recommendations.
• Upsell appetizers, sides, desserts, and drinks to enhance dining experience.
• Keep tables clean and reset for new guests; manage table maintenance.
• Engage with guests and address concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Process bills and handle payments; issue receipts and change as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, bussers, and other servers for smooth service.
