The position emphasizes staff supervision, ongoing education, and maintaining licensure/competencies, with collaboration across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Valid Illinois state respiratory care practitioner license.
• Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care, preferably in long-term care.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical oversight of respiratory therapy services for ventilator- and tracheostomy-dependent residents.
• Supervise, schedule, and evaluate Respiratory Therapists; ensure licensure and competencies.
• Maintain CMS/IDPH/OSHA compliance and update policies; participate in audits and QAPI.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, supply management, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership; lead care plan discussions.
