Job summary

Chrysalis House, Inc. is seeking a Residential Coach for a full-time, Monday–Friday 2pm–10pm shift in Baltimore, MD. The role focuses on maintaining a therapeutic residential environment, safety, and structured activities for women in recovery.

Candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years in a residential setting, plus at least 1 year of experience with substance abuse clients. On-site work, travel for transport, and on-call coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience as Residential Coach or in a residential setting.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with individuals with substance abuse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a therapeutic and welcoming residential environment during assigned shift.
• Adhere to program rules per Residential Manual, CARF standards and Chrysalis House policy.
• Ensure client safety at all times.
• Plan and monitor client recreational activities, phone calls and visits.
• Mentor clients by explaining boundaries, house rules and operations.
• Transport clients as needed.
• Maintain chemical and vehicle mileage logs, and inventory logs for the shift.
• Document, report and follow up on any situation or emergency.
• Oversee client location management and whereabouts.
• Be available to work on call; may include holidays or extra coverage for weather, overnights, or weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
