Baltimore Crisis Response, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is hiring an Addictions Counselor for full-time, day shifts (7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Mon–Fri).

You will provide intake, assessments, treatment planning, and individual/group counseling for clients in residential substance use treatment, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. This role requires an Associate’s Degree with CSC-AD or higher, at least two years of experience in public behavioral health, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and CSC-AD or higher (required).
• Minimum of 2 years working with individuals in the public behavioral health system (preferred).
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (required).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required).
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for clients in 3.7 residential treatment.
• Complete biopsychosocial (BPS) assessments and initial treatment plans upon admission.
• Review progress with clients and update treatment goals in collaboration with the care team.
• Document all services in Credible (electronic medical record).
• Prepare and submit initial and concurrent authorizations to payors/insurers.
• Complete discharge summaries and coordinate discharge planning with the client’s care team.
• Coordinate communication with internal program staff and external service providers as assigned.
• Adhere to CPR policies, clinical protocols, and behavioral health program requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned that align with the scope of the role.
