Job summary

Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI) in Plainville, CT is seeking a Full-Time Residential Coach (2nd shift) for Lisa's House to support adolescent girls through DBT-based programming and related services.

You will provide direct supervision, daily care, group and individual counseling, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic living environment while coordinating with clinicians and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in human services, or two years of relevant experience
• Familiar with gender-responsive, relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches
• Able to work with challenging youth and families
• Willing to attend first-shift offsite training in the first month

Responsibilities

• Provide care, custody, maintenance, education and recreation planning in alignment with the program’s therapeutic model
• Counsel and advise girls individually and in groups to foster positive relationships
• Contribute to a safe program culture and environment
• Facilitate daily focus and skills development groups
• Maintain gender-specific, relational, culturally competent care
• Document daily activities and prepare timely reports on progress
• Transport girls to appointments and supervise activities
• Support family visits and participate as part of the program team
• Ensure medication is administered per policy and respond to crises promptly
