Job summary

The Arbors of Gulf Breeze is seeking a compassionate Resident Care Assistant to join our Gulf Breeze, Florida community. This full-time role supports residents with daily living, fosters dignity and individuality, and reports to the shift supervisor and Wellness Director.

You will perform essential tasks such as bathing, dressing, hygiene, mobility assistance, safety, and documentation, while upholding infection control procedures and professional conduct daily.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking required.
• Completion of Resident Assistant skills competency checklist.
• Physically able to lift 40 pounds and perform required tasks.
• Must pass drug testing and criminal background check on hire and on request.
• Experience in Assisted Living is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, promoting dignity and individuality.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, mobility).
• Maintain professional demeanor with residents and families.
• Report changes to Wellness Director or supervisor.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety rules.
• Escort residents and coordinate internal transportation as needed.
• Document services provided on company forms.
• Participate in resident-centered activities and staff meetings.
