Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in New York, NY seeks a compassionate Resident Services Aide for a Friday–Monday 3pm–11pm shift. You’ll provide hands-on care, assist with ADLs, and support residents’ daily activities in a respectful, dignified manner.

Qualified candidates include CNAs, Personal Care Attendants, or Home Health Aides with Alzheimer’s/dementia experience, English fluency, and a patient, caring demeanor. This is an on-site, full-time position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• CNA, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health Aide certification required.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia care preferred.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Experience assisting geriatric residents with ADLs.
• Ability to follow instructions and establish personal care routines.
• Basic understanding of dementia; patient and professional in redirecting residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Escort residents to meals and recreational activities.
• Support residents' physical, emotional and psycho-social well-being.
• Assist in Wellness area to ensure safety and comfort of residents.
• Follow all policies and procedures and directives from the Nurse Shift Supervisor and Director of Wellness.
