Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 2 - Evening Shift (8 hours). The position is non-exempt with a 32-hour work week, Holidays/Weekends on a rotating basis. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is eligible for external new hires; details will be discussed during interview.

The role requires current MA nursing licensure, BLS certification, and a BSN is highly preferred. The nurse provides direct patient care using the nursing process and adheres to established standards

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS certification is required if current for certain units.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to patient age.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to job description and competency.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Develops, implements/coordinates and documents Education Plan for patient/family.
