Job summary

Bellevue University seeks an experienced librarian to provide general reference services to students, faculty and staff and to deliver formal library instruction during the evening across campus locations.

The role works with the Public Services Librarian and other librarians, develops LibGuides, supports collection development, and contributes to information literacy programs while maintaining friendly, professional service and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited school or equivalent.
• Prior library reference work and/or teaching skills preferred.
• Experience with personal computers and computerized searching.
• Familiarity with online databases essential.

Responsibilities

• Conducts evening library instruction sessions on campus and at Bellevue University locations.
• Provides general reference services via face-to-face, telephone, email, and virtual channels.
• Develops and maintains LibGuides and online tutorials.
• Assists with collection development, weeding, and displays.
• Compiles monthly statistics and may supervise support staff.
