Job summary

RCA - Recovery Centers of America Management Company is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to provide direct support and supervision to patients in substance use and behavioral health services. Working under the Recovery Support Supervisor, you will promote safety, engagement and a therapeutic milieu within a structured treatment environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience of 1 year in behavioral health or substance use treatment is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology hardware, systems and tools; training provided as needed.
• Familiarity with behavior modification and 12-step modality.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient activities and records behavior and safety.
• Participates in direct patient care prioritizing patient safety.
• Assists with daily activities and schedule for patients.
• Recognizes distress signs and responds appropriately.
• Assists with de-escalation and crisis intervention as needed.
• Ensures confidentiality and professional communication with all contacts.
