Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Shift Receiving Assistant Supervisor in Kansas City, KS to support daily Receiving operations. You will ensure accurate receiving, storage, and shipping while upholding safety, quality, and team performance.

You’ll guide troubleshooting, training, and workload balance across departments. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing, some leadership exposure, and familiarity with OSHA basics and Lean principles.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional experience in manufacturing or production
• Experience in leadership or team lead role preferred
• Training in safety and quality systems (OSHA basics, Lean) desired
• Knowledge of leadership development or coaching practices
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Suite
• Multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Understand and support all receiving and shipping processes, including documentation, labeling, and material flow
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and shipping/receiving requirements
• Operate and troubleshoot material handling equipment
• Ensure team members are trained and certified on equipment use
• Monitor accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments
• Documentation and labeling of materials
• Support resolution of quality issues related to shipping or receiving
• Promote and enforce safety protocols and PPE compliance
• Lead safety audits and model safe practices
• Communicate shift expectations and performance feedback to the team
• Serve as liaison between team members and leadership
• Support team rotation and workload balancing across departments
• Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment
• Identify and escalate operational issues or improvement opportunities
• Assist in onboarding and training new team members
• Reinforce SOPs and best practices
• Demonstrate leadership aligned with Marvin values
• Troubleshoot day-to-day issues in receiving, shipping, staffing, or equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges
• Promote safety and integrity via reporting hazards and training
