Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and assist radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures. The role requires 10 years post-certificate experience or an associate degree, ARRT eligibility, IEMA accreditation, CPR certification, and strong communication.

Schedule: 5 days M-F totaling 20 hours weekly; on-site with weekend/holiday availability. Will work in trauma and surgical settings using portable and fixed radiographic equipment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology; certificate with 10 years of experience or an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic RIS/HIS computer knowledge.
• IEMA accreditation in medical radiation technology.
• ARRT eligible with registration within 3 months of start date.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as specified by a physician.
• Operates all components of the Digital Imaging System.
• Assists radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures.
• Performs radiographic procedures on Level I Trauma patients.
• Maneuvers portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery.
• Labels radiographs according to department criteria and standards.
• Maintains RIS/HIS systems functionality and procedure verification.
• Maintains professionalism and interacts with patients, families, and staff.
