Job summary

UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in Highlands Ranch, CO, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures in accordance with scope and organizational standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing history and orders, preparing and administering contrast media when needed, positioning patients, acquiring images, and ensuring image quality with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration (R) required; specialty ARRT certification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition and responds to changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety standards and quality control; reports equipment malfunctions as needed.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and addresses image quality issues; transmits images; may work with Radiology students.
• Operates with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; exercises decisive judgment and critical thinking.
