Job summary

Teknor Apex is seeking a Lab Technician for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm) in Fountain Inn, SC. You will execute core material tests, pull samples, and verify that raw materials and finished goods meet specifications.

You will document results in quality and manufacturing systems, flag out-of-spec findings, and assist with non-routine issues and complaint investigations while maintaining 6S and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Execute core material tests with minimal supervision after training; perform additional inspections as directed by lab leadership.
• Record test conditions and outcomes accurately in quality systems and manufacturing/ERP software.
• Maintain safety, good laboratory practices, and housekeeping using 6S.
• Assist with non-routine issues and complaint investigations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute core material tests with supervision after training; perform additional inspections as directed by lab leadership.
• Collect, label, and package samples for internal testing and external evaluation as required.
• Decide on material disposition, approving or rejecting lots based on specifications.
• Record test conditions and outcomes in quality systems and ERP software.
• Recommend and document adjustments for nonconforming material; support root-cause work on customer complaints.
• Perform and/or verify raw material calibration procedures.
• Maintain safety and 6S in the lab.
