Job summary

Teknor Apex is seeking a Lab Technician to perform core material testing and sampling in a fast-paced environment. You will document results in our quality and manufacturing systems, flag out-of-spec findings, and assist with non-routine issue resolution and complaint investigations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred) and at least 1 year of manufacturing experience. Training is provided, and you will work on the 2nd shift, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm,

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Clear, professional communication with supervisors, peers, and cross-functional partners.
• Comfort with basic arithmetic and applying formulas.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills; ERP familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute core material tests with minimal supervision after training; perform additional inspections as directed by lab leadership.
• Collect, label, and package samples for internal testing and external evaluation as required.
• Record test conditions and outcomes accurately in quality systems and ERP software.
• Decide on material disposition, approving or rejecting lots based on specifications.
• Assist with complaint investigations and root-cause work on customer complaints.
• Maintain safety, 6S standards, and good laboratory practices.

Evening in the Lab: A Day-in-the-LifeAt 3:00 pm, you step into a lab that fuels world-class custom compounds. You review prioritized test queues, pull samples, and move methodically through core analyses to verify that both raw materials and finished goods meet internal and customer specifications. You document results in our quality and manufacturing systems, flag any out-of-spec findings, and recommend adjustments when needed.
