Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Medical Technologist in Microbiology for 0.4 FTE evenings (Friday–Saturday Evenings). You will perform patient analytic testing, quality control, data reporting, and instrument maintenance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences; a Master’s is preferred. Certification such as MLS/MT (ASCP) or AMT is required, with specialist credentials in Hematology, Microbiology or Blood Banking a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Sciences (required).
• Master’s degree in Medical Technology (preferred).
• Certification for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or AMT (or MT (AAB)).
• Specialist Certification in discipline preferred (e.g., Hematology SH, Microbiology SM, Blood Banking SBB).
